I work with all ages, from newborns to older children, and tailor my advice and techniques to suit your child. I offer an initial 15 minute phone consultation, free of charge, in order to ascertain the nature of the problem and discuss the best approach for you and your child.
As gentle sleep methods are usually implemented in stages, I offer 3 weeks of unlimited call/text/email support to help guide you through the implementation of new routines and troubleshoot if needed as things progress.
You will also receive a document detailing what was discussed during my visit and outlining any steps to be taken, depending on the techniques used.

Overnight stay

Once the log has been completed and returned, we will book a night for me to visit you in the comfort of your own home to discuss the findings and I will suggest approaches and techniques that can be used to improve any current sleeping issues.
During the visit, I will suggest any changes to the child’s sleep environment and assess the child’s sleep hygiene (i.e. all the things we do that help us to sleep). I will also be able to demonstrate and guide you through any changes that I have suggested we make and ensure that you are confident with them for bedtime. I will be there to help guide you through your bedtime routine, offering advice as the evening progresses. I will then be there to help talk you through putting your little one to bed and be on hand during the night for any night wakeups, helping you to correctly deal with them and implement any changes. I always aim to teach you/your partner, so that when I am not there you feel confident implementing the new techniques.

What does a Sleep Consultant do?
A sleep consultant’s main aim is to help your baby learn to fall asleep without assistance. A sleep consultant will work with you/your partner to teach you how best to support your child. Sleep consultancy is, as the name suggests, a consultative approach to sleep; meaning that there is an understanding and acknowledgement of each families individual needs and challenges.
How does your approach work?
My approach is a very consultative and I only use gentle sleep techniques. Before I work with a family, I ensure that they are happy with the use of gentle approaches and aware that often there will be some hard work on their part. My aim is always to be a support to a family and not someone that they rely on (because, realistically, I can’t move in!). I encourage each family to complete a 7-day Sleep/Feed Log before I offer help, either in person or remotely. We will then discuss any changes and work together to implement them. I offer 3 weeks of continued support in order to ensure that you are fully supported with any changes. I will never ask you to change anything or implement anything that you are not completely happy with.
Do I need help from a Sleep Consultant?
If you need to ask this question then your answer is most probably no (you lucky thing!). People usually ask me for help when they have a long-standing sleep issue or are looking to get their little one into a better sleeping routine.
What ages do you work with?
I work from newborn to older children.
There are definitely ages that are more challenging to work with, but usually there are things that can be improved upon regardless. When working with newborns, the main aim would be getting a great sleep routine in place and improving sleep hygeine (aka the external factors that affect sleep).
Do you only work around Salisbury?
Nope! If you’re local to Salisbury or the surrounding areas then working in person, either via a home visit or overnight stay, would be my preferred method. If you’re based further away then that’s no problem at all. I have many clients that I work with via email/call/text/skype etc. and I’m able to support them in the same manner (it just means less baby cuddles for me!).
How do I secure a booking with you?
Get in contact, either via email/call/text and we will dicuss how best to help your child. Once I am confident that I will be able to help I will send you over an invoice which needs to be paid, in full, to secure your booking. I don’t take bookings on my website as I like to ensure that I can definitely help a family first before taking payment.
Before working with Elizabeth, Harry would only sleep on me and would immediately cry when placed down on his back. I didn’t want to use any sleeping techniques that involved crying so reached out to Elizabeth for help. She was able to quickly identify an issue with Reflux (which I feel awful for not spotting earlier) and has given us so much support and guidance. We are now able to put Harry down in his own cot, it’s a miracle! He’s like a new baby. She also made sure I was OK and offered me support with my own sleep. I didn’t realise what bad habbits i’d gotten myself into.

As a Nanny I provide professional care for your child(ren) in the comfort of your own home. I have 10+ years experience with ages newborn to teen. I am OFTSED registered, paediatric first aid qualified, DBS checked, and fully insured. I use gentle parenting techniques and enjoy learning through play and natural resources.
Event Nanny
As an Event Nanny I provide an extra pair of hands to care for your child(ren) at your wedding/party/etc. to allow you to relax and enjoy yourself. I am also able to enlist the support of local colleagues to facilitate larger events if needed.
